Queen Elizabeth National park is a national park which is found in the western part of the country. There are many species of animals and these include; the elephants, antelopes, kobs, buffalos, forest birds, and many more which can be enjoyed during the game drive both in the morning and in the afternoon. You will also enjoy a safari boat cruise on the common Kazinga channel where you will be able to view crocodiles, hippos, and the water birds.
Detailed safari Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Game drive
After your early morning breakfast, our company guide will pick you up to start your safari and he will brief you about your safari. Then take off to Queen Elizabeth National Park. A stop-over will be at the equator for photos as you will witness water experimentation at the same time. Continue to Mbarara town for Lunch break, after proceed with your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park. You will do a short evening game drive where you will encounter animals like elephants and you should not expect many animals in the evening but it you will enjoy the drive through the flat lands of the park as you go to check in at your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Pumba lodge
Day 2: Early morning Game drive & boat cruise
You will wake up very early in the morning to go for a game drive; your guide will pick you up and head for the game drive where you will have a chance to see at least most of the animals in the national park like the lions, elephants, buffalos and also many of the bird species will be sport in the early morning hours. So set expect to have a blast on this game drive. You will head back to the lodge for breakfast or you will eat your packed breakfast. After the break, you will resume the drive to go visit the Katwe salt lake and n Kasenyi area to explore other wild animals missed out in the previous game drive. In a while tour Katwe explosion craters. At this point you will see Kitagata Lake and the massive Kamengo Crater which will give you a clear outlook of diverse wildlife around the Park. In the afternoon, go for the launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel where you will see more wildlife sights like Water Birds like black bee- eater, species of falcons, raptors and other species like Crocodiles, Hippos and Waterbucks. What I can tell you is that this is the most interesting trip you will not want to miss while in Uganda. You will retire in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at Pumba lodge
Day 3: Return to Kampala
Early morning after breakfast, you will transfer back to Kampala. En route take a morning game drive on your way out the park and see more different animals. You will have lunch once you reach Mbarara town. Reach Kampala in the evening and your guide will drop you off at either your Hotel in Kampala or at the Airport to catch your flight back home.
