Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is located in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the vast Rift Valley. It is home of about 360 Gorillas, half of the world's population of mountain gorillas.  Bwindi is in a mountainous region whereas on the other hand Queen Elizabeth is located in one of the most diverse ecosystems in Africa.  The melting glaciers of the Rwenzori Mountains create a vast wetland system made up of two lakes George and Edward as well the connecting Kazinga channel filled with the largest concentration of hippopotamuses in Africa.

The two parks are very different from each other and yet the complement each other creating a tapestry of the African wildlife found in Uganda.

Five Day Ugandan Gorilla Safari at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Wildlife Safari at Queen Elizabeth National Park:

Day 1 - The 5 Day Gorilla and Wildlife Safari Begins:  Leave Kampala early in the morning after breakfast.  Drive through the countryside of Uganda toward Bwindi National Park where we will choose the better lodging or budget according to your wishes.  Location can depend on where your permit is for in the park. Lunch at a Lakeview Hotel in Mbarara along the way, dinner once you reach your lodging destination.

Day 2 - The Gorilla Tracking adventure at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest:  An early breakfast and then a pre-tracking briefing to go over guidelines for you and your safety.  The Gorilla tracking begins soon afterwards and can be from a short walk to an all day hike.  Lunch and a visit to a pygmy village (depending on time still available).  That evening dinner at your lodging place and rest.

Day 3 - The Uganda Wildlife Safari continues: An early breakfast once again and departure for Queen Elizabeth National Park and Mweya Lodge or a budget lodging.  Lunch and then later an afternoon game drive in the shadows of the Rwenzori Mountains.  Lots of game to be seen here from lions to elephants

Day 4 - Queen Elizabeth Park Safari: Early rise and then a sunrise game drive...afterwards there is a sumptuous breakfast, that morning you will also go and see the crater areas with their breathtaking view.  Afternoon boat ride on the Kazinga channel with all of its wildlife and abundance of birds.  Then it is off to an evening game drive, dinner and rest at your lodging place.

Day 5 - The Safari comes to an End: Breakfast - a last walk around and then back to Kampala in time for dinner...Lunch along the journey.
