The Best of Uganda Safaris - 9 days of fantastic  Ugandan wildlife and scenery: 

Day 1 - The Safari begins:  We pick you at your hotel, airport or one of our Guesthouses and your African Safari begins.  This is truly a discovery of Uganda's best, a 9 day journey to some of the finest parks in Uganda.  You will enjoy your trip to Bwindi Forest through some wonderful Ugandan countryside.  We stop to have lunch in Mbarara at the Lakeview Hotel and then back onto the road to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where you will stay at either at a better lodging such as Mantana Luxury Tented Camp or Buhoma Community Bandas which is a budget accommodation.  You will arrive in time for dinner and a quiet night near one of the largest concentrations of Mountain Gorillas in the world - Bwindi Forest.

Day 2 - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest: Have an early morning breakfast after a refreshing night and get ready to one of the most exciting days of your life.  There will be an early morning Bwindi Gorilla Safaribriefing and the tracking begins soon thereafter.  The actually gorilla tracking can be quite a physical challenge, at times when it involves extensive hill climbing, it may involve Ugandan assistance from the nearby communities who know every path and trail around Bwindi and who will assist you.  The tracking of gorillas can be from a couple of hours to an all day affair.  No matter what, it will be one of the premier events of your life.  Something not soon forgotten.  After your gorilla tracking it is lunch at your accommodation hotel or banda.

During the afternoon, depending on time available take a stroll through a Pigmy village and experience life as the Batwa people do.  This walk will give you a delightful insight into their culture and ways.  Afterwards return for a quiet evening only broken by the sounds of the nearby forest.

Day 3 - The Safari Continues:  Enjoy an early morning breakfast in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and then depart for Mweya Safari Lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park or Hostel.  Look out for wildlife after we enter the Park.  We will arrive at Mweya Lodge early and have lunch.  There will be an evening game drive before dinner at Mweya Lodge.  Look out over Kazinga Channel and enjoy the sounds and sights of the early evening...you will see quite a bit if you have a moonlit sky above.

Day 4 - Queen Elizabeth Park: Arise early for some tea or coffee, off it is to an early morningQueen Elizabeth Safari - Hippo game drive at dawn - Breakfast at your place of accommodation then off to see the craters in the shadows of the Rwenzori Mountains, wildlife in abundance.  Lunch and some rest - then a cruise on the Kazinga Channel with the highest concentration of hippos in Africa, lots of birds, other wildlife comes to the water to drink in the late afternoon.  You will enjoy a quiet dinner and evening before a good night's rest and more activities on the next day.

Day 5 - The Best of Uganda Safaris continues:  One more breakfast near Kazinga Channel and then off to Kibale Forest and over 1000 chimpanzees and other monkeys.  Check in at Nadali Lodge or Rwenzori Travelers Lodge and enjoy dinner and a rest.  One of the nice things about travelling from park to park is that you will enjoy the sights and sounds of the various areas you will pass through.

Day 6 - Kibale Forest National Park:  Escorted by a Uganda Wildlife Authority guide who Kibale Forest Safari - Chimpanzeeknows Kibale Forest you will not miss a things.  From Chimpanzees to Mangabey monkeys, from flora to fauna, from animals to birds.  Enjoy a box lunch during the day and back to your place of stay after a full day at the fabulous Kibale Forest.  An enjoyable dinner awaits you.

Day 7 - Your Uganda Safari continues:  After breakfast take the drive to Murchison Falls Park.  Enjoy the Ugandan Countryside and Lunch along the way.  Arrive at Murchison Falls Park where we will stop at the "Top of Falls" area to view the raw power of the Nile as it tumbles through a small eye of 7 meters down 45 meters below, creating a churning mass of water with an ever present rainbow...below in the distance you see once again a peaceful river moving along slowly.

We take you to Red Chillis Camp or cross the river to arrive at the comfort of Paara Lodge.  A delightful dinner awaits you, a view of the Nile, in many cases from your room or from your place of dining.  The sounds of the wilderness around you as you take your rest.

Day 8 - Murchison Falls National Park:  Once again, an early breakfast of your choice.  A buffetMurchison Falls Park Safari - Lion from going light or hardy, it is up to you.  Then off to a morning game drive through Murchison Falls Park viewing, Lions, Elephants, Giraffe, Buffalo, birds of many kinds and any other game we might encounter.  You are escorted by Uganda Wildlife AuthoMurchison Falls Park Safari Elephantrity Guide who will point out all the game near you, even when you do not see it.

Come back to your accommodation and take a swim in the pool or simply enjoy some quiet moments, then Lunch and afterwards at 1:45 it is a 3 hour cruise up and down the Nile to below the falls.  Along the way you will see countless of animals from hippos to elephants, all kinds of birds, reptiles and much more. Come back to your accommodation for a rest and dinner.

Day 9 - Murchison Falls Park and the Journey back to Kampala:  Early Breakfast and then cross the Nile or pick-up are Red Chillis Camp and drive toward the area of the Budongo Forest for Chimpanzee Tracking and Forest Walk.  You will see many forest birds and walk in a mature Mahogany Forest. Have a Picnic Lunch and leave for Kampala through Masindi arriving in Kampala around  dinnertime.


 

Excluded from Safari Price:  Airfare, Entry Visa, Airport Taxes are not included in price.  All personal expenses such as tips, phone calls, laundry, drinks and any other personal items are not included in above prices.  Accommodations in Kampala are not included in price.  You can stay with us in a clean room in a nice setting at our  Guesthouses with full breakfast at beginning or end of journey, one of the best values in Kampala.
